A New Addition... Baby Noah!

Hello everyone!
I am delighted to finally announce the birth of our Grandson Noah.  Noah was born a week ago, but sadly quickly after birth his health  deteriorated and he became very poorly...

He was subsequently diagnosed with an infection of the fluid around his brain... Meningitus.

Naturally when we all heard the 'M' word we were floored, but he has responded very well to treatment and has even managed to gain some of the weight that he has lost since birth.
The doctors are happy with him and his progress and although he will remain in hospital for the course of his treatment, he is calmer and happier... and so naturally we are too!
Grandpa (aka Mr Bea) and I are utterly smitten with him and we can’t wait until our Daughter and Son In Law can finally take him ‘home’.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the congratulations, good wishes and prayers which we have received  for baby Noah.  They have meant the world to us all. Thank you.

Plastered... but not in a good way!

Hello everyone!
This is a bit off topic for this blog, but I just wanted to let you all know that following an evening spent in A&E on Thursday I am now plastered up to the knee...

The last few days have been a bit of a painful blur, filled with gas & air, x rays and a trip to the fracture clinic... the long and the short of it is that I have (somewhat stupidly) managed to damage some ligaments in my ankle and have a possible underlying fracture too :(

I have now been confined to bed for a few days and then will be on crutches for at least the next 10 days... needless to say this has sent me into a bit of a tail spin as the Thame and  Miniatura shows are both looming large on the horizon and my ‘to do’ list is shouting profanities at me for neglecting it so...

Anyhoo I just wanted to let you all know that despite needing a few days out I am certainly not going to let a little bit of plaster get in the way and (hopefully) if I can't get to the PP office, then Mr Bea is going to help the PP office get to me! ;)
Who knows…working from bed might be quite fun!!!??
;0)

Back from the 'Big Smoke'...

*Delayed Post from Thursday 31st January...

Hello everyone!
We are finally back in the PP office after an extended trip to London!

The new 'Tower Of London Dolls House Festival' was FABULOUS - Mr Bea and I couldn't believe the number of visitors that flooded through the doors, which meant that we were kept busy almost right to the show's close!

By the end of a frantically busy Sunday Mr Bea and I were both pretty much asleep on our feet, but luckily we had booked to stay a couple of nights in a hotel only a minute's drive from the venue - so at least we didn't have to go far, let alone attempt to battle a weary path out of London…

Monday saw a spot of sightseeing and Mr Bea and I had a wonderful time ambling around and taking in the sights... We saw The Tower Of London, Tower Bridge, The Shard, St Paul's Cathedral and the Museum Of London - the latter was fantastic as it featured many scale models of London's architecture through the ages (I could have spent all day staring at them! LOL...)

Finally, we finished what had been a perfect (& much needed) 'day off' with pre dinner drinks watching the sun go down on Tower Bridge and The Tower Of London and then Mr Bea whisked me off for a romantic supper in one of my favourite restaurants - the diet took quite a hammering, but what the hell - happy days!  LOL
Tuesday morning we (reluctantly) waved good bye to London and headed home - still exhausted, but very, very happy!  Now we are back in the office, trying to catch up on all that we have missed, process orders and updating both the website and online shop updated with all of the brand new kits which we launched at the show on Sunday... at this rate it may only be Thursday, but to be honest we could already do with another day off!! *sigh!
